What is an underwater shower?

An underwater shower is a massage using powerful water jets that takes place in seawater heated to 35 degrees. The jets have a beneficial effect in relieving a variety of ailments. It is recommended for anyone seeking muscle relaxation, as well as for those suffering from muscle spasms or pain.

What are the benefits?

This treatment is relaxing and promotes lymphatic drainage. It is used to relieve joint pain (shoulder, hip, knee, back, neck, foot) and reduce stiffness. It also helps combat cellulite by promoting lymphatic drainage, improving blood circulation (especially in the legs), and treating phlebitis.

How does it work?

Make yourself comfortable; the hydrotherapist will direct the shower stream onto the areas to be treated. They’ll start with the abdomen and work their way down to the soles of the feet, then move on to the legs, knees, hips, hands, elbows, and shoulders, followed by the back, buttocks, pelvis, cervical spine, and neck. This full-body treatment lasts ten minutes; the jets are powerful and therefore not recommended for pregnant women, the elderly, or children.
